It doesn’t matter how good you are; chances are that you’ll never beat your old man, and even Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry isn’t the exception to that rule.
That was on full display in a clip shared by ClutchPoints, in which Dell Curry beats his elder son in a three-point shootout.

Needless to say, that doesn’t ruin Steph’s status as the undisputed greatest three-point shooter to ever walk the face of the Earth, but it should definitely humble him.
His old man will now have bragging rights over him, which is the least he can expect after also giving him those privileged genes as a sharpshooter.
Dell’s flick of the wrist, high-arc, and quick release gave him one of the prettiest jump shots in the league back in the day, and it was far from a surprise to see that both Steph and Seth had gotten that from their dad.
Of course, he never had as prominent a role as his firstborn, but it’s clear that those hours of work and playing hoops with his sons paid off big time.
Steph Curry changed the way the game is played with his unlimited range, becoming the most efficient volume three-point shooter this game has ever seen, and probably ever will.
But regardless of his four championships, multiple MVPs, gold medals, and all the millions he’s made throughout the course of his career, he still came in second to the one who taught him everything he knows.
