The Golden State Warriors are off to a much better start this season than they had last year.
They did finish the 2023 season with a record over .500, but it wasn’t good enough for them to make the playoffs.
Despite only getting older, Steph Curry has had a great season thus far, putting the Warriors in a great position to fight for a postseason spot down the stretch.
He’s averaging 22 points per game and over six assists, giving his teammates the help they need to succeed when he’s not piling on the points.
Whenever he ends his career, Curry will go down as the best three-point shooter in league history and a player who changed the way the NBA is played.
With that being said, even the best players in the league have off nights.
As Clutch Points called out on X, Curry had one of the worst games of his career in the Warriors’ December 19th loss to the Memphis Grizzlies.
He played 24 minutes, scoring just two points from the free-throw line in the process.

ClutchPoints noted that Curry didn’t hit a shot from the field, which included a 0-6 night from beyond the arc.
He likely would have played more minutes if this game was closer, but heading into the fourth quarter, the Warriors knew they had no hope of coming back and winning this game.
This game seems to be the exception to the rule from Curry given his historic performances, but this will be a situation to monitor, potentially causing concern if it happens again.
