While the defending champion Golden State Warriors are off to a slow start, Stephen Curry is not.
The four-time NBA champ and two-time NBA MVP is scorching the nets over his first 23 games.
Curry is scoring a clean 30 points per game on 49.9% shooting from the field and 43.2% from three on 11.8 attempts per game.
He is also pulling down 6.6 rebounds per game and dishing out 7.0 assists per game, his best mark since 2014-15.
Curry is doing all of this at 34 years of age, prompting Charlie Walter of CBS Sports to ask Steph how long he thinks he can play.
Steph Curry was asked at the Sports Illustrated Sportsperson of the Year Awards how long he thinks he can play, his response: “I don’t see myself slowing down any time soon.” At 34-years-old, Curry is averaging 30ppg while shooting 50/43/91 #dubnation pic.twitter.com/TjclHXNNzR

Curry Talked To Tom Brady About Aging In Sports
As part of his answer, Curry mentions that he spoke with NFL quarterback Tom Brady about getting older in professional sports.
Brady is 45 years old and still starts at quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Buccaneers are having a down year this season, but Brady was one of the most proficient QBs last season.
Steph says Brady’s word of advice was “take it a year at a time…your body will tell you [when it’s time to retire].”
Brady’s historic career may be coming to a close, but Curry seems to still be playing at an elite level.
Steph’s Workouts Second To None
If the body will tell a player when it’s time to retire, Curry’s body shows no signs of letting up.
Curry’s offseason workouts are a thing of legend around the NBA.
According to NBA trainer Brandon Payne, even other NBA players are not cut out for Curry’s workout.
“We’ve had a player, who’s still in the NBA, go through the first five minutes, sat down on the floor beside the door for about 30 seconds, stood up, went outside and threw up, and was done.”

The workouts are so intense it warranted ESPN to write an entire story about them.
If Curry can maintain this level of fitness, there is no reason to think he cannot continue to perform at a high level.
