The Houston Texans entered the 2024 NFL season as one of the teams to beat.
They were coming off the heels of an impressive season from C.J. Stroud, a team that was a bottom-feeder during the 2022 campaign.
Not only did the Texans have a lot of returning players to their roster, but they reloaded in the offseason, adding players like Stefon Diggs and Joe Mixon.
Mixon and Diggs have been key cogs to the Texans’ machine to this point in the season, but one of those cogs will no longer be available.
It was recently revealed that Diggs tore his ACL in the Texans’ matchup with the Indianapolis Colts last week.
This was a devastating blow to the Texans’ offense, but Diggs seems to be in good spirits given the circumstances.

Whether Diggs returns to the Texans or another team next season remains to be seen.
The veteran receiver developed a quick rapport with Stroud, who will now have to turn to someone else as his No. 1 target.
Nico Collins is slated to be out for at least one more week, leaving Stoud with limited options.
He has already shown a propensity to battle well through adversity, and this is certainly an adverse situation.
With any luck, the Texans won’t miss a beat moving forward and continue to be a strong offense under Stroud.
Besides, they can’t afford to lose any ground in the AFC, given how strong the conference is shaping up to be.
