The Pittsburgh Steelers are quietly leading their division.
Aaron Rodgers is playing good football, and the defense has been good for the most part.
Then again, with all other AFC North teams struggling so mightily, they just have to make the most of the opportunity to get better, take off, and run away with the division.
With that in mind, they will keep an eye open for any potential big trades in the following weeks:
“The only AFC North team that didn’t complete a deal was the first-place Steelers, who are expected to explore upgrading their roster in the weeks ahead of the deadline,” Schefter wrote.
The trade deadline (November 4) is less than one month away.
The Steelers haven’t won a playoff game in almost a decade, and while head coach Mike Tomlin still hasn’t had a losing season since he took the reins of the team, that’s just not good enough anymore.
The fans are starting to lose their patience, and the standard should be higher for this team.
Considering that, it’s not much of a surprise to hear that they could be keeping tabs on playmaking stars like RB Breece Hall or WR Rashid Shaheed.
The Steelers have already made some aggressive moves in the offseason by trading for D.K. Metcalf and Jalen Ramsey, which are moves a tanking team doesn’t typically make.
They clearly believe they have enough firepower to compete for a Super Bowl, and while it’s still way too early in the season and they’ve only played four games, they’re clearly stepping in the right direction.
Will they add more talent to their already talented roster? We shall wait and see, but it sure seems so.
