The Golden State Warriors have set the standard for what it means to be a successful NBA franchise over the past decade or so.
Steve Kerr’s arrival revamped an organization that was already on the rise, taking the league by storm and dominating like few other teams before them.
Plenty of that had to do with their revolutionary three-point-centric offense.
And none of that would’ve been possible without the two greatest three-point shooters ever sharing the floor.
Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are by far the most proficient three-point shooting backcourt — or pair of teammates, for what it’s worth — this game has ever seen.
To put it in context, fan account SplashBrosMuse just pointed out that they’ve combined for more three-pointers in the playoffs (1,012) than ten active NBA franchises.
Crazy stat:
Steph and Klay have a combined 1,012 career 3-pointers in the playoffs.
That’s MORE than 10 active FRANCHISES. pic.twitter.com/bsMz1JIqi3

The Warriors have completely changed the way the game is played, for better or worse.
Some might not be much of a fan of this jump-shot-happy style of play, but not playing to your players’ strengths would be a huge mistake by the coaching staff.
You have to make the most of your guys’ skills, so asking Thompson and Curry not to take as many three-pointers as they can would be a total waste of their talents.
That’s why other teams have failed in their attempt to replicate the Warriors’ system, as they just don’t have the right personnel to match their historical and unprecedented three-point shooting.
So, let’s just appreciate them while we still can instead of trying to tear them down.
