During Game 1 against the Los Angeles Lakers, Jordan Poole of the Golden State Warriors looked quite good and scored 21 points.
Since then, he hasn’t even cracked double-digits in a game.
Legion Hoops pointed out a startling fact on Tuesday morning: Poole has averaged just 8 points per game on 35.3% from the field against the Lakers.

To say this statistic from Poole is surprising is quite an understatement.
It is downright jaw-dropping.
The guard averaged 20.4 points per game this season, shooting 43% from the field.
His numbers against the Lakers make him look like a completely different – and unreliable – player.
Many NBA stars hit rough patches during their career and they can sometimes last weeks and even months.
It just so happens that Poole’s has come at a truly awful time for his team.
When he’s at his best, Poole is a terrific, energetic player who is able to come off the bench and score crucial and clutch points.
He takes some of the best elements of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson and combines them together.
But at his worst, Poole is someone who makes bone-headed plays and looks clumsy and out of sorts.
That was the version of Poole that fans saw on Monday night.
The Warriors are now in a very dire situation and they literally cannot lose any more games in this series.
Poole will need to either step up and get back on track or he will remain on the bench.
Head coach Steve Kerr needs to figure out if he’s willing to give Poole another chance.
But time is running out for the defending champions and Poole might be too much of a liability at this point.
