The Green Bay Packers have one of the best pass rushers in the game.
Though his stats haven’t been that impressive this season, Micah Parsons‘ impact goes well beyond his individual numbers.
According to analyst Wendell Ferrerira, with Parsons on the field, the Packers have a defensive success rate of 64.2 percent.
That falls to 50.0 percent when he’s not on the field.

Most fans expected Parsons to wreak havoc right out of the gate and pile up multiple sacks per game, but that’s just not realistic, not even for a player of his caliber.
He’s elite at putting pressure on the quarterback, and he’s been among the most double-teamed players since he entered the league with the Dallas Cowboys.
That opens up a lot of space for teammates to do their thing and be more aggressive.
Additionally, Parsons hasn’t been fully healthy this season, as he continues to deal with a nagging back injury that cost him some time late in training camp.
Moreover, he’s still learning the ropes of a new defensive system.
Getting the bye week to rest and restore his body, as well as getting a better grasp of what defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley wants from him, should do wonders.
Also, it’s early in the season, and given his long track record of success, it’s just a matter of time before he starts putting up his usual stats.
