Stats Show How Derrick Henry Is Dominating This Season

The Baltimore Ravens may have made the biggest move of the offseason.

There was a lot of talk about the Philadelphia Eagles landing Saquon Barkley, and rightfully so.

However, Derrick Henry has been an unstoppable force since joining Todd Monken’s offense.

As pointed out by NFL on CBS on X, the former Tennessee Titans star running back has been on an absolute tear this season.

He currently ranks first in rushes, rushing yards, rushing touchdowns, longest rush, rushing first downs, yards from scrimmage, and touchdowns from scrimmage.

Through nine games, the Alabama product has run the ball 168 times for 1,052 yards and 11 touchdowns.

He’s added nine receptions for 93 yards and two more touchdowns.

Henry averages 116.9 rushing yards per game, which is more than some teams.

The MVP award is usually reserved for quarterbacks, but Henry’s numbers are definitely MVP-caliber.

He should, at the very least, be the clear-cut No. 1 candidate to take home the Offensive Player of the Year award this season, and he could be the X-Factor that finally gets the Ravens over the hump.

The craziest part about his numbers is that the team has actually refused to feed him as early and often as they could and should in some games—mostly in the losses.

With a weapon like that, the Ravens should be running at least 20 or 25 times per game.

Hopefully, he’ll avoid injury and keep proving why he’s the best running back in the league, even at his age.
