The 15-1 Kansas City Chiefs have nothing to play for when they take on the Denver Broncos on Sunday, as they have the No. 1 seed in the AFC wrapped up, which is why many of the team’s regulars won’t be suiting up.
You don’t get to 15-1 without some incredible standout performances throughout the roster, and one stat recently showed how dominant some of the Chiefs’ offensive linemen have been this year.
The 33rd Team posted on X about offensive linemen who have played at least 1,000 snaps this season heading into Week 18, and of that group, only Chiefs linemen Joe Thuney, Creed Humphrey, and Trey Smith have allowed zero sacks.

The Chiefs have the only three starting offensive linemen who haven’t surrendered a sack all year.
The unit as a whole has turned a corner since Thuney shifted to left tackle a few weeks back.
If you dig deeper, this stat feels like an indictment on the team’s other two starting linemen, left guard Mike Caliendo and right tackle Jawaan Taylor.
Mahomes has taken a career-high 36 sacks this season, so if three of his linemen haven’t surrendered a single sack, those sacks had to come from somewhere.
Regardless, Mahomes has mostly put his early-season struggles behind him, and after throwing at least one interception in each of his first seven games this season, he has now thrown 11 touchdowns with no picks in the last six games.
He has only been sacked once in the last three games, and the Chiefs will bubble-wrap him until the Divisional Round of the playoffs in a few weeks.
