The Philadelphia Eagles may have lost the Super Bowl, but at least they can rest assured that they’ve found their franchise quarterback.
Jalen Hurts had an MVP-caliber season and followed it up in the playoffs.
He didn’t shy away from the big moment, and there weren’t any flashbacks from that infamous National Championship game with Alabama.
As a matter of fact, his Super Bowl performance was so impressive that he was PFF’s second-highest-graded quarterback ever with a 92.2 grade, trailing only Nick Foles (92.3 in 2017).

Hurts torched the Kansas City Chiefs defense from start to finish, completing 27 of 38 throws for 304 yards and one score, and adding 15 rushes for 70 yards and three touchdowns.
Unfortunately, that fumble lost in the first half — which was his only mistake in the game — wound up giving the Chiefs seven points that could’ve cost Philly the Vince Lombardi trophy.
Still, there should be no more Jalen Hurts doubters left, at least within the Philly fanbase or beat writer community.
We’re talking about a guy who put up 35 points and four total touchdowns against the Super Bowl champions and who put the Eagles in a position to win on the biggest stage.
At the end of the day, there’s simply not much you can do when you’re facing a generational talent such as Patrick Mahomes.
But the Eagles should be more confident in Hurts now than ever, and you better believe he’s going to be back to the big game at least one more time in his promising career.
