The Golden State Warriors fell behind the Los Angeles Lakers in the fourth quarter of Monday night’s game.
With time running out, the defending champions needed to do something major to pull out the win.
That meant they turned to Stephen Curry, who has regularly been the most reliable player on the team, if not in the entire league.
But Curry wasn’t able to produce game-winning shots and the Warriors were eventually defeated.
According to SportsCenter, this actually isn’t that surprising.
Curry is 0-12 in his playoff career on potential go-ahead shots in the final 45 seconds of fourth quarters and overtimes.

Curry has been known as a clutch player for most of his NBA career.
Unfortunately, when the playoffs come around, he’s not nearly as capable in the closing moments of games.
The Warriors had a slew of problems in the final minutes of Monday’s game against the Lakers.
Curry was honestly the least of their problems.
Klay Thompson had a couple of awful shots, Jordan Poole couldn’t make any points, and head coach Steve Kerr didn’t seem willing to make adjustments.
To make matters even worse, Curry produced a few painful turnovers too.
All in all, the Warriors were not looking like champions as the game came to an end.
Curry is a leader for Golden State for many reasons.
From the way he works as a floor general to the way he sinks shots, he is typically the go-to guy for the team.
But even the biggest names in the game have their shortcomings and apparently, Curry has a hard time getting it done in the fourth quarter.
