Just two years ago, fans and pundits were calling out the Miami Dolphins for sticking with Tua Tagovailoa.
They talked about the Alabama product as damaged goods, stating that he wasn’t big, good, fast, or even accurate enough to be a starting quarterback in the National Football League.
Fast forward to today, and they’re all filling in their apology forms as they watch Tua put up MVP-caliber numbers.
With that in mind, Kay Adams asked Dolphins star WR Jaylen Waddle about the most impressive part of Tua’s development thus far (Via Up & Adams).

Waddle talked about him obviously being able to get a better hold of the offense in his second year, praising the way he’s been able to adapt from one offensive coordinator to what Mike McDaniel wanted from him, as well as how he’s learned to read different defensive coverages.
The wideout also stated that Tua has been a more vocal leader this season, not only on the field but also in practice, reaching out to his skill players and trying to lead by example.
While he also admitted that the Dolphins have a more than decent set of weapons, Waddle also said that Tua makes them look good more often than not, as he always gives them the ball where they need it.
At the end of the day, all young quarterbacks go through some growing pains, and some need more time to find their footing than others.
But Tua is a star, and it’s time people start giving him his flowers.
