Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors is back in his natural habitat: the Western Conference Finals.
The baby-faced assassin impressed fans during Game 1 of the WCF on Wednesday night, putting up 21 points, 12 rebounds, and 4 assists.
He was playing well and he was making it look easy.
This was vintage work from Curry, who always seems completely at home in high-stakes games like Wednesday’s.
Steph Top 10 EVER!!! Idc What You Say!!! 😤
— Dejounte Murray (@DejounteMurray) May 19, 2022
Dejounte Murray of the San Antonio Spurs was at home watching the game and just had to have his love of Curry known.
He hopped on Twitter to say: “Steph Top 10 EVER!!! Idc What You Say!!!”
It’s hard to argue with Murray’s opinion about Curry.
A Playoff Warrior
Curry’s career average is 24.3 points, 4.6 rebounds, and 6.5 assists a game.
Those are incredible numbers.
However, they are actually lower than what he usually does in the playoffs.
His playoff averages are 26.5 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 6.2 assists.
In other words, he steps it up when the postseason begins and he has been doing just that this year.
Curry entered the playoffs after suffering an injury that had him on the bench for a while.
He was slow to start but was soon playing like his normal self again and hasn’t looked back since.
This presented a huge problem for the Denver Nuggets and then the Memphis Grizzlies.
And, so far, it’s causing headaches for the Dallas Mavericks too.
However, the Mavs are not like the other teams Curry and his Warriors have taken down recently.
There is a chance – and not a small one – that the Mavs could come back and overtake the Warriors.
Yet, that will be a very tall order if Curry keeps playing as he has been.
