The Memphis Grizzlies showed a lot of character on Wednesday night.
They took that first blow to the chin but bounced back and evened the series with the Los Angeles Lakers at one win apiece.
Notably, though, people didn’t talk about how well Jaren Jackson Jr. defended Anthony Davis, or how the Grizzlies pushed the pace on every single possession.
Instead, everybody was talking about Dillon Brooks’ words on LeBron James, as he claimed he didn’t respect any player until the said player put up 40 points on him, and adding that he doesn’t care if he has to guard an “old” LeBron.
Once again, Brooks’ comments rubbed plenty of people the wrong way.
Even Skip Bayless — who’s never been much of a fan of LeBron — came to James’ defense, stating that Brooks is nothing but an instigator:
“Dillon Brooks is nothing but an instigator. Instigating is ALL he can do,” the pundit said.

Bayless took a shot at Brooks’ game, and claimed that instigating is actually the only thing he can do for his team.
Brooks has been a steady contributor on both ends of the floor for Taylor Jenkins’ team, but he’s been doing way a lot of talking lately.
He’s become a bit infamous among some of his colleagues, and even his own crowd booed him once.
Still, the Canadian forward is unfazed by criticism or hatred; he thrives off it.
Then again, he might come to regret his words, as not many people have found success when challenging LeBron James, and the Grizzlies are now set to travel to Southern California for the next two games.
