The NBA is enjoying parity for the first time in what feels like decades as there are several teams that can make a case to win the 2024 NBA championship.
The Denver Nuggets are the reigning champions, but they’ll have stiff competition in the Western Conference as they’ve got the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns to deal with.
On the other side in the Eastern Conference, the Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics appear to be the consensus number one and number two in some order, with teams like the Miami Heat and Philadelphia 76ers looming as well.
The 2023-24 NBA season is sure to be one of the best ones in memory given the number of title-chasing teams, but picking a Finals matchup is essentially impossible.
However, Skip Bayless believes this is the year that the Lakers and Celtics break the tie for most franchise championships, via “Undisputed.”

Los Angeles and Boston both have 17 titles apiece and are suddenly in a position to win another one given the talent and depth on both their rosters.
Bayless argues that the Celtics were able to get much better in the offseason after they acquired Jrue Holiday from the Portland Trail Blazers.
He also explains that another leap from Austin Reaves should vault the Lakers past the rest of the Western Conference.
The NBA’s most historic and iconic rivalry battling it out to settle the championship score would be a massive boon for the league and its fans and hopefully that matchup comes to fruition come June.
