To say that this has been a disappointing season for the Dallas Cowboys would be a massive understatement.
Then again, it’s also hardly a surprise.
The Cowboys were either unwilling or unable to address their needs in the offseason, and with Dak Prescott falling with an injury, there weren’t many reasons to be optimistic about this team.
Even so, the fans are rarely rational; passion drives them.
That’s why bonafide Cowboys fan Skip Bayless claimed to be “devastated” after the Cowboys lost to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Mike McCarthy’s team had a big chance of winning at home.
The loss dropped the Cowboys to 5-8 for the season.
Their chances of making the playoffs were slim, but losing a game like that may have been devastating.
The Cowboys have found creative ways to lose lately, but that was one we hadn’t seen yet.
This speaks volumes about the team’s lack of discipline and fundamental mistakes, which have been constantly discussed during the Mike McCarthy era.
Given the current landscape and potential candidates, some believe McCarthy could stay in Arlington beyond this season.
