New reports state that the Phoenix Suns have informed Chris Paul that he will be waived if there’s not a trade in place for him before the end of the month.
Chris Haynes established that Paul has no intention whatsoever of walking away from the game, adding that he’s looking forward to playing for many more years and continue helping teams become NBA championship contenders.
As old and injury-prone as Paul might look, Skip Bayless believes the Suns would be making a huge mistake by giving up on him already.
"At $30M, Chris Paul is worth that to the Suns. I would close my eyes and plunge with him one more time."

Bayless pointed out the fact that the Suns went 12-3 with Paul, Devin Booker, and Kevin Durant all on the court together, and they were even up on the Denver Nuggets before he pulled that hamstring.
He believes the Suns would’ve had a legit shot at taking down the Nuggets with a healthy Paul, citing that he’s worth those $30 million he’s about to get paid.
One could argue that Paul is still one of the best playmakers on Earth, and he’s perhaps the last pure point guard in basketball.
Every team needs a floor general, and the Suns were a legit championship team with him on the floor.
Then again, there’s only so much he can do if he can’t stay healthy, and the Suns need to retool and add more depth, which is almost impossible with his $30 million salary on their books.
Paul isn’t finished by any means, and he could still be an impactful player on any contender, but the new CBA will make it tough for the Suns to keep him.
