The 2024 NFL regular season is nearly over, leaving teams just a few more weeks to make a final playoff push.
A few teams have already punched their tickets to the postseason, but there is still plenty to be decided, including the playoff byes for each conference, which are far from determined.
With the Detroit Lions’ loss to the Buffalo Bills in mind, the NFC’s No. 1 seed got a bit more interesting, as the Philadelphia Eagles moved within striking distance of that top spot.
The Eagles and Lions have been two of the best teams in the conference this year, and many people see them as the most likely to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl.
Analyst Skip Bayless took this a step further in a recent X post, indicating that the Eagles are his pick to win the Super Bowl.

The Eagles did have a frustrating finish to the 2023 campaign, but they’ve turned things around in a major way this year, improving their secondary while their offense has fired on all cylinders.
While not necessarily a top-tier MVP candidate, Jalen Hurts has done enough to keep this team in line, and Nick Sirianni has seemingly taken some pressure off himself in the hot seat.
It will be interesting to see how things shake out for the Eagles moving forward, and if they can keep their foot on the gas.
Regular season momentum is one thing, but they’ll have to find another gear to keep this moving in the postseason.
