The Los Angeles Lakers didn’t have Anthony Davis in Wednesday’s loss to the Houston Rockets.
That spelled trouble early for Darvin Ham’s team, and it seems like even the players thought they would have a tough time getting past the Rockets.
Ime Udoka’s team dominated from start to finish, with the Lakers getting off to yet another slow start and failing to pick up the intensity and make a comeback.
That’s why Skip Bayless was ruthless when assessing the team’s performance.
In the latest edition of “Undisputed,” he called them out for being “lifeless and gutless,” stating that all players played awful and just gave up, LeBron James included.

Bayless stated that he’s always praised James as one of the greatest leaders in sports history, adding that he’s failed to lead this team.
The Lakers are now 3-5, and they haven’t been very impressive in the wins either.
Davis has been their best player and James has posted some solid numbers, but the team doesn’t have a clear style of play, and the role players just haven’t lived up to the expectations.
Coach Ham has also failed to make timely adjustments, with the team digging itself into a hole early, and then never being able to fight their way back.
It’s still early in the season, and they have Davis and James, so they always have a chance to win.
But this Lakers team doesn’t seem good enough to even make the playoffs right now, and they might have to make some moves.
