The Los Angeles Lakers had a big lead over the Sacramento Kings on Wednesday night but then fell into their old bad habits and ended up walking away with a painful 130-120 loss.
Speaking on Thursday’s “Undisputed,” Skip Bayless called the Lakers a “wildly inconsistent” squad that starts strong but then falls apart.
“I feel like the Lakers are the classic ‘Are We There Yet?’ team,” Bayless said.

Bayless isn’t alone in his assessment of the Lakers, as many fans of the team were wildly disappointed by what they saw on Wednesday.
At this point in the season, every single win is important for the Lakers.
They are the tenth team in the West with a 34-30 record, which means they are barely qualified for the Play-In Tournament right now.
Wins against teams like the Kings are even more important because they can take down a higher-seeded team, which is obviously crucial when it comes to the standings but also when it comes to team morale too.
The fact that the Lakers gave up such a big lead on Wednesday is perhaps the most troubling fact of all.
Bayless said that their pattern is “fire and fall back” and that was certainly the case against the Kings.
The mistakes that the Lakers made during this game are ones that fans expect at the start of the season, but they are things that should be corrected as the year goes on.
The fact that the Lakers are still performing like this with the playoffs just a few weeks away is leading to a lot of concern that the postseason might end up being out of reach.
