In MLB, it’s never too early to talk about potential award winners, especially if an entire half is already in the books.
FOX Sports: MLB had a poll on its Twitter account to see the frontrunners for the MVP award in the National League.
Atlanta Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. has received more than 70 percent of the votes, leading Mookie Betts, Corbin Carroll, and Freddie Freeman.
While Acuna is the heavy favorite to win in the NL, the American League is virtually decided at this point.
Los Angeles Angels two-way phenom Shohei Ohtani has been head and shoulders above everyone else.
He has no competition at this point, even though Wander Franco, Kyle Tucker, and the four star Texas Rangers (Corey Seager, Marcus Semien, Adolis Garcia, and Jonah Heim) have all been outstanding.
He has been so dominant this year that the poll for the American League had four Ohtanis.
One last Midseason Award to vote on: AL MVP!

It was hilarious to see, but not too far from reality.
The only man who seemed to be on his way to being at least nearly as good as Ohtani was New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge, and he has missed more than a month with a toe injury.
Ohtani is slashing .302/.387/.663 with 32 home runs and a 1.050 OPS as a hitter.
He also has a 3.32 ERA in 100.1 innings, with an incredible 43/132 BB/K ratio.
No one in the junior circuit has those kind of numbers offensively, and very few pitchers have been better than the 2021 AL MVP.
It looks like he will be adding some hardware a few months from now.
