The Los Angeles Angels are lucky enough to have two stars on their roster who have been named MVPs and may in fact be the two best players in all of baseball.
Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani have shouldered the load for the Angels over the past several years.
However, it’s Ohtani who has been capturing most of the headlines in recent years.
Ohtani possesses abilities not seen since the days of Babe Ruth, pitching like a true ace and also hitting with incredible power.
On Thursday, the Angels got off to a hot start in their series finale against the Baltimore Orioles thanks to the power of Ohtani.
MLB on FOX posted a video of his first-inning home run on Twitter.

The home run came with two outs and gave the Angels a 1-0 lead.
But this is nothing new for Ohtani or the Halos, who have come to expect this type of production from their two-way superstar.
Starting off an afternoon with a home run is always encouraging.
The Angels have come to rely heavily on Ohtani for the past several years.
Los Angeles lost to the Orioles on Wednesday night, but came out swinging on Thursday thanks to Ohtani’s power.
Ohtani hit a home run against the Orioles on Monday night in the series opener and earned the win for the Halos.
He was not pitching on Thursday, but his two-way abilities certainly give him the opportunity to contribute day in and day out for the Halos.
