The Las Vegas Raiders and New York Giants will go toe-to-toe for the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
As such, they will both be in the race to get Shedeur Sanders, who’s firmly projected to be the first player off the board.
According to a report by Jordan Raanan of ESPN, the Colorado star would rather take his talents to Las Vegas next season:
“Multiple sources close to Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado program believe his preference would be to land in Las Vegas,” Raanan said.
Recently, Deion Sanders stated that he wouldn’t mind his son playing for the Giants.
Shedeur also shared a clip of himself throwing footballs with Malik Nabers around NYC, and he shared a pic of his new sneakers, which featured red and blue colors.
Even so, the rumors about his preference for the Raiders have long been discussed as well.
There’s even a clip of Deion Sanders literally asking Antonio Pierce to draft his son.
Sanders repeatedly and openly admitted that he would interfere with the selection and make sure his son lands in a program that could develop him.
Truth be told, neither the Giants nor the Raiders look like the right place to do so.
Still, with Tom Brady’s input and most likely a new head coach, perhaps the Raiders would be back on track before the Giants.
Sanders is a special talent who could make an immediate impact in the right setting.
Whichever team ends up getting him will have to make some big moves in the offseason, especially when it comes to improving their subpar offensive lines to keep him out of harm’s way.
