The National Basketball Association was, is, and will always be the top-notch competition in terms of professional basketball.
That means just a handful out of countless talented hoopers get the opportunity to play there, let alone stand out and leave their mark in history books.
That’s just one of the many reasons why putting together a list of the top-10 players could be a complicated task, as there are just so many to choose from, and it always feels like you’re snubbing someone.
However, that didn’t stop NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal from putting together his very own ranking, according to Brad Turner (via NBACentral).
When asked about that, the Big Diesel chose Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as an honorable mention, taking Magic Johnson, Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, Michael Jordan, Stephen Curry, Tim Duncan, Allen Iverson, Karl Malone, Isiah Thomas, and himself in no particular order.

That’s an interesting list, by all means, and it would be quite complicated to argue with any of the players listed above.
Of course, to each their own, and everybody has an opinion about the matter.
Perhaps, some older fans would’ve included the likes of Wilt Chamberlain or Bill Russell, while younger fans could throw Kevin Durant’s name into the mix.
That’s the beauty of this game, as there are just so many great players who could make a case for themselves, and the best part is that this never-ending pool of talent just keeps on giving, and the league will be in great hands for years to come.
