The Tampa Bay Rays seem to be a team that always flies under the radar.
No matter how great of a season they are having not many people talk about them.
This year, the Rays have been the best team in the American League and legitimate World Series contenders.
They have spent many years building a strong roster via the draft and some key trades.
One of the players they acquired via the draft is starting pitcher Shane McClanahan.
He was a first-round pick in the 2018 draft and has lived up to the hype.
This season he has been one of the best pitchers in baseball.
According to MLB on Twitter, McClanahan is at the top of their starting pitcher rankings.

He is very deserving of the top spot and is making a strong case to be the All-Star game starter for the second straight year.
McClanahan has made 16 starts this season and has a record of 11-1.
His ERA is 2.23, which leads the American League.
The 26-year-old has established himself as one of the best pitchers in baseball.
After McClanahan is Houston Astros starter Framber Valdez.
He is a workhorse starter for Houston as he has already thrown 105 innings.
Valdez has an ERA of 2.49 and he remains in contention for the AL Cy Young.
We will see many of the players on this list playing for the All-Star teams in a few weeks.
At least halfway through this year, McClanahan is proving that last season was no fluke.
