The Oklahoma City Thunder have put together the most promising group of young players in the league.
Chet Holmgren, Jalen Williams, Josh Giddey, and Shai Gilgeous-Alexander could be a special core for years to come.
However, as happens with every team, they will only go as far as their best player can lead them, whether it’s with his actual play or with his actions.
That’s why it’s nice to know that SGA is reportedly willing to play off the ball and let Giddey run the offense if that’s what it takes to take a leap forward (via NBACentral).

When asked about it, he stated that if Michael Jordan agreed to do it, then he could do it as well.
Of course, comparing oneself to arguably the greatest player of all time might be a bit of a stretch, but it also speaks volumes of his determination and work ethic to be the best there is.
Shai has emerged as one of the best scorers in the game, thriving from all three levels, especially within close range.
He has an old-school feel to his game, and he’s also been willing to put his body on the line on the defensive end, getting into passing lanes, going over screens, and diving for the ball on every 50/50 possession.
Injuries are the only concern with him to date, but it’s also mostly due to the fact that the Thunder have been extra cautious with him and have shut him down multiple times when they tank, which won’t happen again this season.
