The Denver Broncos didn’t need a lot of time to get back to contention.
Head coach Sean Payton proved to be the right man for the job.
He just needed the right quarterback to execute his vision, and he found it in Bo Nix.
Now, with Nix about to enter his second season, his coach has some sky-high expectations for him and his future.
“He’s going to be one of the top four or five quarterbacks in the league the next two years,” Payton said, via Underdog NFL.

Nix looked the part as a rookie.
He entered the NFL as a somewhat polarizing prospect and had his fair share of detractors.
Yet, he rarely made the same mistake twice, and his extensive college experience likely helped him make a smoother transition.
Nix completed 66.3 percent of his passes for 3,775 yards, 29 touchdowns and 12 interceptions.
He also carried the ball 92 times for 430 yards and four TDs.
He’s a good athlete who can make plays with his legs, and he thrived at all levels of the field with his arm.
Nix’s tendency to do a little too much often hurt him in college, but Payton did a great job of keeping him on task.
He put him in a position to succeed and eased him into the system before giving him more freedom as the season went along.
Now, he will try to keep it going in his second year in the league.
