The Denver Broncos had a season to remember in 2024.
After struggling to find their footing during the short-lived Russell Wilson era, the Broncos found new life this season.
While they didn’t go on a deep run, making the playoffs was a step in the right direction for this team, especially considering how difficult the past few years have been.
Their success was a breath of fresh air for Sean Payton and his staff, as they believed they put a special team together that could make some noise.
The quarterback position was supposedly the missing piece of the puzzle, and Bo Nix stepped in and delivered when they needed him most.
As Payton mentioned when talking about the team’s future at quarterback, “I think we found him.”

Having the right quarterback can be the difference between a good and a great team in the NFL, and the Broncos can be proud of the development Nix made throughout his rookie season.
He might not have been one of the first three QBs off the board, but he certainly played well enough to give himself a chance to start in his sophomore season and beyond.
The Broncos will have an uphill battle to overcome as long as Patrick Mahomes is the quarterback of the Kansas City Chiefs, as the AFC West has belonged to them for years.
But, if Payton can surround Nix with the right pieces, there’s no telling what this team can accomplish over the next few seasons.
