Aaron Donald has been a staple of the Los Angeles Rams’ defense since he was drafted in 2014.
He has been selected as the Defensive Player of the Year three times, the Defensive Rookie of the Year, and many other accolades.
With the season just around the corner, Donald is expecting his fourth child.
According to Adam Schefter, Donald is slated to take a short absence from the team, not traveling to Denver for their last preseason game.
Rams’ Pro-Bowl DT Aaron Donald will not travel to Denver for his team’s preseason finale Saturday vs. the Broncos and will remain back in Los Angeles to be with his wife, who is “due any day now,” per Sean McVay.

Schefter indicated that Donald will stay in LA, waiting in anticipation with his wife.
Donald likely wouldn’t have played in the Rams’ game against the Broncos anyway.
Now, he’s able to focus on his newest addition, supporting his wife and the rest of his family.
As for the Rams, they are continuing to focus on the upcoming year, hoping for improved results.
While they did win the Super Bowl in 2021, the 2022 season was a different story.
They finished the year with a 5-12 record, largely due to the significant injuries up and down their roster.
Assuming the team is fully healthy, many analysts predict them to be better, which includes dominant play from veterans like Donald.
If his baby does come before the Rams’ preseason game, he’ll have some time to relax before the season starts.
Will he be able to help lead the Rams to greater success?
This team is laden with veterans, many of which are nearing retirement.
For a lot of these athletes, the 2023 season could be the last of their careers.
Can they go on one last ride ending with another Super Bowl victory?
