Despite trading away Russell Wilson last offseason, the Seattle Seahawks managed to rebound quickly and make a run at the playoffs during the 2022 season.
Geno Smith proved to be a revelation for the Seahawks as he managed the offense well enough to make them competitive.
Smith, of course, had great weapons at his side in D.K Metcalf, Tyler Lockett, and Kenneth Walker.
Metcalf and Lockett in particular make for one of the best receiver duos in the league as they’re both able to stretch defenses vertically and have sure hands to come down with passes.
Generally, Metcalf garners most of the attention due to his size and speed but Lockett is widely considered to be one of the most underrated wideouts in the league.
To illustrate that point, Pro Football Focus showed a graphic that Lockett hasn’t dropped any of his end zone targets in his entire career.

It’s a staggering stat, but it just goes to show that when Seattle is threatening to score their best option is to throw it in Lockett’s direction.
Defenses at this point know that Lockett is one of the focal points of the Seahawks’ passing attack, but the veteran has a knack for finding open space and keeping the chains moving.
Lockett might find himself even more open this year as Seattle boosted their receiving corps with Jaxon Smith-Njigba.
With so many weapons to account for, defenses are going to struggle trying to bottle up the Seahawks offense and Lockett figures to play a large part in that.
