Football fans are eagerly awaiting the release of the NFL’s 2023 regular-season schedule, but there have been some details leaked already.
One detail that is out is how many miles each of the league’s 32 teams will travel throughout the regular season.
According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, the Seattle Seahawks will travel the most miles, and they’re also tied with the San Francisco 49ers for the most time zones that will be traversed.
Seahawks will travel 31,600 miles this season, the most in the NFL, per @billsperos.

The Seahawks are first in both categories even though they will not play a single game outside of the United States in 2023.
A year ago, they had just traded away franchise quarterback Russell Wilson, while also losing star linebacker Bobby Wagner, another last link to their 2013 Super Bowl-winning team, to the Los Angeles Rams.
Geno Smith, a veteran backup journeyman, won the starting QB job, and the team was expected to go nowhere fast.
Instead, Smith had a banner year, leading the league in pass completion percentage and winning the Comeback Player of the Year award while guiding Seattle to an unexpected playoff berth.
Wagner is back for the 2023 season, and while he may have declined a bit lately, they’re hoping he will help them improve a defense that ranked 25th in points allowed and 30th in rushing yards given up last season.
In 2022, the NFC West was rather weak, as the 49ers ran away with a 13-4 record and the Seahawks were second at 9-8, but things could be more competitive there next season, especially if the Rams get and stay healthy.
