The Seattle Seahawks are a team that no one expected to be a playoff team last season after the team traded superstar quarterback Russell Wilson to the Denver Broncos.
Veteran quarterback Geno Smith became a Pro Bowler for the first time in his NFL career, and the Seahawks excelled behind him, which has now set up a promising future in the post-Wilson era.
Although the team is headed in the right direction, the immediate future for veteran safety Jamal Adams still remains up in the air after he played in only one game during the 2022 campaign due to a quadriceps injury.
On Thursday, Seahawks general manager John Schneider made an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show and gave an update on Adams’ status moving forward.

The Seahawks made a bold move a few years ago to acquire the two-time All-Pro in a blockbuster trade with the New York Jets.
Acquiring Adams was considered a game-changer for Seattle and potentially moving back to being a dominant defense once again under head coach Pete Carroll.
However, he’s only played in 25 games in three seasons in Seattle and hasn’t produced at the high level expected of him despite a Pro Bowl selection in his first year with the team.
If Adams can get back healthy and back to form for Seattle during the 2023 campaign, the Seahawks might be able to make some noise in the NFC once again, especially considering how wide-open the conference is this year.
It’ll be interesting to see how things pan out in Seattle and whether Adams can make an impact with the Seahawks this season.
