The debate among NBA fans about LeBron James and Michael Jordan will continue, perhaps forever.
Everyone has an opinion and, since it’s all subjective, a definitive answer will never be found.
The latest person to join into this age-old argument is none other than Jordan’s former teammate, Scottie Pippen.
Pippen recently gave serious praise to James before criticizing Jordan.
“LeBron will be the greatest statistical guy to ever play the game of basketball,” Pippen said.
He then went on to lambast Jordan’s career before he played alongside him, saying he was a “horrible player.”

Although Pippen said that James will go down as the greatest statistical player to ever join the NBA, he wouldn’t say he was the out-and-out best athlete the league has ever seen.
“I’ll leave that out for debating,” he said.
As for Jordan, Pippen said he was “He was horrible to play with. He was all one-on-one, he’s shooting bad shots. And all of a sudden, we become a team and we start winning, everybody forgot who he was.”
It’s a bit surprising to see Pippen turn praise about James into criticism about Jordan but this isn’t the first time he has called out his former teammate.
He has publicly made some comments about Jordan and his career that have raised a few eyebrows.
The duo found great success together with their six championships.
And while Jordan did become even better with him by his side, he was already scoring nearly 40 points a game in the season before Pippen’s arrival.
Pippen’s latest comments will only pour more fuel on the fire of this debate.
James versus Jordan will be a question asked of every NBA fan seemingly until the end of time.
