Ever since the New York Jets acquired superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers during this NFL offseason, shockwaves have been sent throughout the league and throughout the storied franchise and its players.
The Jets are clearly going all in for the 2023 NFL season now that Rodgers is under center, and his presence in New York has already made an impact on some of the team’s talented young players like wide receiver Garrett Wilson and cornerback Sauce Gardner.
With Wilson expected to be Rodgers’ No. 1 option in the passing game, the two have worked together a lot during the offseason to build some much-needed chemistry between them.
Along with Wilson getting some reps with Rodgers, Gardner has started to soak up the knowledge from the four-time NFL MVP, and he’s loving every minute of this learning process as he wants to continue being one of the best corners in the league as he tells Kay Adams on Up And Adams.

With Gardner leading the defense and Rodgers getting things under control for the offense ahead of the 2023 campaign, the Jets will likely be a top-tier team in the league during the upcoming season, with the ability to put up a lot of points while also containing opposing offenses.
It’ll be interesting to see if Gardner can take another step forward in his hopes of becoming the league’s elite corner and if that leaves a considerable impact on the defense in New York.
As for Rodgers, the team hopes he’s got one or two more MVP-caliber seasons left in him as he strives to win at least one more Super Bowl title before he retires.
