New York Giants fans, players, and decision-makers must be feeling sick to their stomachs right now.
It took just one game before Saquon Barkley proved they may have made a huge mistake by letting him go.
As pointed out by ESPN BET on X, he became the first Eagles player to rush for 100+ yards and score three touchdowns in a single game since LeSean McCoy did it in 2011.

The Penn State product rushed for 109 yards on 24 carries, adding two receptions for 23 yards, two rushing touchdowns, and one receiving touchdown.
The Giants chose not to pay Barkley and instead addressed other issues on their roster.
That’s a valid approach, but it’s always tough to part ways with your best offensive player, especially when you know you’re not in a good spot, quarterback-wise.
Barkley gave us just a glimpse of what he could look like now that he’s playing behind one of the best offensive lines in the game.
The Eagles already had one of the most stacked offenses in the game.
Adding Barkley and hiring Kellen Moore to lead the way only makes them more of an offensive juggernaut.
The Giants, on the other hand, will have to get by without a clear alpha running back, and that decision could end up costing Joe Schoen his job if things don’t go their way this season.
