Following losses in each of their last two games, the New Orleans Saints currently find themselves on the outside looking in when it comes to the NFC playoff picture.
With a 5-6 record, the Saints are currently the No. 10 seed in the NFC, and according to ESPN, they have a 50 percent chance to make the postseason this year heading into their Week 13 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
Getting a win over the Lions on Sunday will be difficult, but New Orleans will have a better chance at getting a victory if their No. 1 wide receiver, Chris Olave, is able to play.
Olave suffered a concussion during the Saints’ loss to the Atlanta Falcons last week, but he’s expected to suit up on Sunday against Detroit, according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero on Twitter.
#Saints WR Chris Olave, listed as questionable going through concussion protocol, is expected to play today vs. the #Lions, per me and @RapSheet.
Meanwhile, DE Cameron Jordan — who didn't practice all week because of an ankle injury — is a game-time decision and has a shot.

Despite suffering a concussion in the loss to the Falcons last week, Olave was still able to finish with seven catches for 114 yards in the contest.
Overall, this season, the second-year New Orleans wide receiver has caught a total of 63 passes for 771 yards and three touchdowns in 11 games.
During the Saints’ final six matchups on their 2023 schedule, Olave needs 10 more receptions and two more touchdown catches to surpass the single-season career highs he set last season.
With how poorly the Lions’ defense has performed recently, he might even be able to set those new career highs on Sunday.
In their last three games, Detroit has given up an average of 31 points to their opponents in each matchup, which is the second-worst average in the NFL since Week 10.
Will Olave being active help the Saints pull off the upset over the Lions on Sunday?
