The New Orleans Saints continue to remain aggressive in trying to improve their roster.
Earlier in the week the Saints brought in veterans Kareem Hunt and Anthony Barr for a visit.
But both players left without agreeing to a deal.
Now it seems like the Saints have turned their focus to a former Pro-Bowl linebacker, Jaylon Smith.
According to Jordan Schultz, the Saints have brought in Smith for a workout on Thursday.

Smith was once a Pro Bowler back in 2019 with the Dallas Cowboys.
Many remember Smith coming out of college as one of the best players in the 2016 draft class.
But his draft stock took a massive hit when he suffered a devastating knee injury playing in a bowl game.
Even though he was able to get back on the field, it seems like that injury never fully healed.
Smith was good for a few seasons in Dallas yet he never looked like his old self.
Now the 28-year-old linebacker is hoping to get another chance with the Saints.
At this point, Smith is nothing more than a part-time player.
He spent all of last season with the New York Giants, where he recorded 88 total tackles in 13 games.
If the Saints complete this move it will be nothing more than just adding depth.
Yet, it is never a bad thing to add a veteran presence to a defense that needs it.
Hopefully, if Smith gets this opportunity he will be able to turn back the clock and be productive.
