After acquiring quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a blockbuster trade with the Green Bay Packers, the New York Jets were thrust into the title-contending conversation in the AFC, as he seemed to be the missing piece to their championship puzzle.
Unfortunately for New York, nothing has gone right since they acquired Rodgers, and as a result, the team has had two forgettable years, with a lot of questions about what will be done after the 2024 campaign mercifully comes to an end.
With Rodgers seemingly taking no accountability for the team’s struggles, even though he’s done little on the field to improve results, the veteran has come under fire for things he’s said and not said to the media.
Former NFL player and current ESPN analyst Ryan Clark didn’t hold back in his recent assessment of Rodgers.
“This dude is a fraud. Right? He’s been a fraud. And he can throw a football and that’s where it stops. Once that talent ends, so does him and so does he,” Clark said, via Dov Kleiman.

With the Jets limping to the finish line and having already made changes by firing head coach Robert Saleh and general manager Joe Douglas, it remains to be seen what they do with Rodgers, even if he wants to return for another season.
Only time will tell what the future holds for Rodgers, as he hasn’t made much of a case to be retained.
