Super Bowl Sunday, predictably, was mostly filled with conversations surrounding the Kansas City Chiefs and Philadelphia Eagles leading up to the big game.
Normally, there wouldn’t be much else to talk about around the NFL, as all eyes are typically on the most important matchup of the year.
However, something else was brewing, as it was announced that, shortly after the game, win or lose, Kellen Moore would officially take the New Orleans Saints’ head coaching gig.
Moore has been viewed as something of an offensive guru throughout his tenure as an NFL coach, receiving plenty of acclaim on the Dallas Cowboys, Los Angeles Chargers, and Eagles’ staffs, respectively.
He was only with the Chargers and Eagles for one season each, but he certainly made an impression on people around the league.
Moore will inherit a Saints team that is in a much different place than it was during the days of Drew Brees, and he seemingly has a lot of work ahead of him to turn this team back into contenders.
With that in mind, in a recent appearance on “NFL Live,” Ryan Clark expressed his concern with Moore and the Saints, wondering if the team will be “patient” with him.
He added, “This isn’t going to be a quick turnaround,” indicating that it could take a few seasons for this team to find their footing.

Some NFL franchises are more willing than others to let new coaches see what they have and give them a longer leash, while others are quick to cut the cord.
The Saints held on to Sean Payton after down seasons, so it will be interesting to see how they handle Moore moving forward.
