The Pittsburgh Steelers were able to get a steal in quarterback Russell Wilson earlier this offseason from a contract perspective.
With the Denver Broncos paying Wilson a massive sum to not play for them, he was able to sign with Pittsburgh for the veteran minimum.
According to ESPN’s Dan Graziano, despite signing the one-year deal, the Super Bowl champion has a no-trade clause in his contract.

This means Wilson is here to stay in the Steel City.
After a rough two-year stretch in Denver, the former Seahawks star has seemingly found a new home while taking snaps under center for the Steelers.
The nine-time Pro Bowl selection has a career passer rating of 100.0 and still has plenty of juice left in the tank.
Not only did Mike Tomlin get Wilson to be his quarterback, but he also added some other skill players on offense.
In addition to already having 1,000-yard scrimmage backs in Najee Harris and Jaylen Warren, along with 1,000-yard wide receiver George Pickens, Pittsburgh added seven-time All-Pro gadget player Cordarrelle Patterson, former Super Bowl champion wide receiver Van Jefferson, and rookie receiver Roman Wilson out of Michigan.
With Pittsburgh’s elite defense on the other side of the ball, this team should be a lot better than what it was a year ago,
They have a steady veteran presence at quarterback and have gotten him a few more weapons too.
