After a rough start to the 2023 NFL season, the Denver Broncos are suddenly one of the league’s hottest teams as they’ve managed to stack up three consecutive wins.
The Broncos’ most recent win was their most impressive one of the year as they beat the Buffalo Bills on the road in one of the week’s biggest upsets.
Denver’s defense did a number on Josh Allen as he threw for only 177 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions.
Allen has been better about taking care of the football this year, but the Broncos were great at mixing coverages and getting him to throw some errant passes.
The defense has steadily been improving weekly, and a lot of the credit should go to defensive coordinator Vance Joseph who managed to weather the storm earlier in the season.
Russell Wilson may be commanding the offense, but he made sure to throw some praise Joseph’s way via Zac Stevens of DNVR Broncos.
“Vance Joseph has done a tremendous job,” Wilson said.

Fans were ripping the Denver defense to begin the regular season, especially after they allowed 70 points to the Miami Dolphins.
However, it seems like Joseph put in the time and effort to figure out his personnel and scheme up ways to make things difficult for opposing offenses.
Although Denver is still sitting below .500, there’s suddenly some momentum for them to potentially make a run at a playoff spot.
It would take a lot of luck for them to somehow qualify for the postseason, but with how well the defense is playing nothing’s impossible.
