Perhaps the Denver Broncos are as good as Sean Payton said they were all along.
Having Russell Wilson playing efficient football has been great for the team, and even though he hasn’t been spectacular, his chemistry with Courtland Sutton has been special.
That’s why the former Super Bowl champion went out of his way to praise his star wideout, stating that he’s been phenomenal all season long (via Zac Stevens).
“I think Courtland, obviously, has been special all year,” Wilson said.

Sutton played a big role in the team’s 24-7 road win over the Los Angeles Chargers, making yet another circus freak-like grab.
With just over six minutes left in the third quarter, Wilson threw a long pass toward the end zone, finding Sutton, who made a one-handed catch that left everybody at SoFi Stadium — his teammates included — simply perplexed.
COURTLAND SUTTON ARE YOU KIDDING?! 😱

Sutton has an impressive repertoire of memorable catches this season, including a leaping one-handed touchdown grab vs. the Kansas City Chiefs and a seemingly impossible toe-tap reception vs. the Buffalo Bills.
The Broncos have now won seven games this season and continue to march strong on their way to the playoffs, and Sutton has had to do a lot with that.
He just became the first Denver Bronco to log at least ten touchdown receptions in a season since the late Demaryius Thomas and Julius Thomas did it in 2014.
A lot has happened since that moment, and having Peyton Manning surely did plenty to help the star duo reach that milestone, but Sutton continues to make a name for himself and Wilson’s job a lot easier.
