Russell Wilson was brought in last year to help make this team better, and Sean Payton’s coaching was supposed to help them this season.
Neither has been the case thus far, as the Broncos find themselves with a 1-5 record.
After the game, Wilson discussed his performance, saying, “I’ve got to play better,” according to beat writer Aric DiLalla.

Wilson finished the game with a stat line of 95 passing yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.
He also discussed his two interceptions after the game, calling them “unacceptable.”
This hasn’t been the new-age Broncos that many fans expected of them this season.
In some ways, this year might feel a bit like “Groundhog Day” to fans, as this season seems oddly reminiscent of last year.
Wilson’s 95 passing yards were his lowest since Week 13 of the 2018 season when he threw for 72 yards against the Minnesota Vikings.
Is it time for the Broncos to end the Wilson experiment?
They invested significant capital in him, both monetarily and through sending away draft picks to the Seattle Seahawks.
It might seem too early to give up on someone of Wilson’s former caliber, but fans are dejected.
The Broncos were 10.5-point underdogs to the Chiefs in this latest game, a sign that there is not a lot of belief in Wilson’s ability to turn the team around.
