Social media has made us closer than ever before.
It has connected long-lost friends and families, which is certainly a positive aspect of social media.
However, this closeness isn’t always a good thing, necessarily, as it allows sports fans to talk negatively to players, and can result in some interesting interactions between adults.
This was the case for Ryan Clark and Russell Westbrook’s wife, who was unhappy with the way Clark represented Westbrook in the media.
As NBA Central shared on X, Clark called Lamar Jackson “The Russell Westbrook of the NFL.”
He dove further into talking about Westbrook, saying, “When he and Dame Lillard went head-to-head, and it got emotional, he couldn’t make a shot.”

Westbrook’s wife did not take kindly to these comments.
As Westbrook shared on his Instagram story, his wife wrote a rather lengthy response to Clark, highlighting her frustration with the media coverage of her husband.

One of the things she said was, “Before you start hating on Russell, at least let the basketball season start.”
In her mind, Clark’s comments were uncalled for, and Russell didn’t need to be mentioned in the Mahomes and Jackson conversation.
It will be interesting to see how Clark responds to this, as he has not said anything publically.
He made an enemy out of Westbrook’s wife with his comments, as she was outraged with what he had to say.
There are less than two months until the NBA season tips off, where Westbrook has an opportunity to prove Clark wrong.
