The Los Angeles Clippers made a bold decision when it came to improving their roster after the trade deadline.
One player that entered the buyout market was former league MVP Russell Westbrook.
After being traded from the Los Angeles Lakers to the Utah Jazz, Westbrook was bought out and free to sign with any team.
That is when the Clippers stepped in and landed the future Hall of Famer.
Westbrook is not the player he once was earlier in his career, but he can still be very effective.
He plays with maximum effort and is a great passer and rebounder.
One spot he needs to improve is shooting, as teams dare him to shoot three-pointers.
Yet, after leaving the Lakers, Westbrook seems to have found a new home in the same town.
According to Tomer Azarly, Westbrook seems thrilled with this new opportunity and is making the most of it.
Russell Westbrook on if joining Clippers is the fresh start he'd hoped it would be:

Before the season the Clippers were seen as one of the best teams in the Western Conference.
But, due to injuries and plenty of other issues, they find themselves in fifth in the West standings.
The Clippers have plenty of playoff experience on their roster.
But, the recent loss of Paul George significantly hinders their chances of making a run.
George has a sprained right knee and is expected to be out for two to three weeks.
If he cannot return in time for the playoffs, much more pressure with be put on Westbrook and Kawhi Leonard to carry the scoring load.
These last few weeks of the regular season will be huge for playoff seeding.
Also, the Clippers should do whatever is necessary to find their rhythm heading into the playoffs.
