Every time your name appears next to that of Babe Ruth on a list for a specific accomplishment, you know you are doing things right.
That is the case of Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr.
The dynamic power-speed threat is on pace to finish the season with more than 60 stolen bases.
But that, amazingly, is not the main topic of this article.
It’s what he is doing at the plate what might put him in exclusive company if he meets certain milestones.
He is well on his way, though.
“Putting stolen bases completely aside, if #Braves Ronald Acuña Jr. can finish this season with 200 H, 40 2B, 40 HR, 100 RBI, and 150 R, he would be just the third man in MLB history to do that. It hasn’t happened in over 90 years. You might recognize the guy who did it twice…” Braves insider Grant McAuley tweeted.

Imagine finishing a season with 200 hits, 40 home runs, 40 doubles, 100 RBI and 150 runs scored.
Now add in 60 steals and you will have a truly unique campaign.
Will Acuna be able to maintain that pace?
It seems unlikely, but not impossible at all.
If anyone has the talent to do it, it’s him.
He is currently slashing .345/.437/.613 with a 180 wRC+, which means he has produced 80 percent more than the league-average hitter.
That’s incredible.
He is currently on pace to finish with 41 home runs and 68 stolen bases.
His 2.5 Wins Above Replacement (WAR) in 43 games are already more than the 2.1 he earned last year in 119 contests.
He is just amazing, and a joy to watch.
