The New York Jets have a lot of things to address in the offseason.
They entered the season with Super Bowl aspirations, yet they failed to win at least six games.
That’s despite revamping their offensive line, adding an elite pass rusher, and having a healthy Aaron Rodgers for the entirety of the season.
They currently don’t have a General Manager or a head coach, much less a clear plan.
With that in mind, they will begin interviewing some well-known coaches.
According to a report by NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the team will interview Ron Rivera for the head coaching position.

Rivera has been a head coach in the league for 13 years with the Carolina Panthers and Washington Commanders.
He’s got five playoff appearances during that span, including a Super Bowl trip.
Rivera was once considered one of the best defensive head coaches in the league, but those days are long gone.
The Commanders let him go in the past offseason after years of struggling on both sides of the field.
Even so, given his credentials, it only makes sense that the team at least gives him a look, especially considering all the talent they have on defense.
Unfortunately, the Jets don’t have prime Cam Newton at quarterback.
They might not even have a quarterback.
So, while the head coach hire will be crucial, several other issues will also need to be addressed in the offseason.
