For years, Green Bay Packers fans debated about their wide receiver corps.
While they clearly had plenty of talent at the position, some argued that none of them had stepped up as a legitimate WR1.
In the meantime, Tucker Kraft put his head down, worked on his game, and became one of the most proficient pass catchers in the game.
That’s why, when asked about him, WR Romeo Doubs had nothing but praise for his work ethic:
“His growth,” receiver Romeo Doubs answered when asked what’s impressed him the most about Kraft. “I remember when he first got here as a rookie, and from that time on he’s been doing nothing but just grinding and being the best he can be.”
While the fans talked about the wide receivers, the third-year tight end kept developing a strong chemistry with Jordan Love, up to the point where he’s been the team’s most consistent pass catcher this season.
Love is doing a good job of keeping everybody involved and spreading the wealth, but while the wide receivers seem to be taking turns to have a good game, Kraft delivers week in and week out.
He’s great at picking up yards after the catch, and he’s been one of the best players in his position this season.
The Packers can now afford to part ways with fellow tight end Luke Musgrave, as they need to prioritize getting Kraft locked in and there for years to come.
He’s one of Love’s favorite targets when he needs a crucial first down or is looking at the end zone, and rightfully so.
As for Romeo Doubs and the rest of the team’s pass catchers, they should have plenty of opportunities to silence the critics and prove that this team already has the star it needs.
