The Chicago Bears had two top-ten picks in the 2024 NFL Draft, and they used both to revamp their offense.
Unfortunately, it didn’t work early on, but they’re still pretty young, talented, and determined to succeed.
That’s why, now that they’ve hired Ben Johnson as their head coach, there are high hopes for Caleb Williams and Rome Odunze in their second season in the league.
With that in mind, the star wide receiver out of Washington gushed about his new boss.
When asked about his first impression of Johnson, Odunze claimed that he was very driven and clearly knew how to get things done.
He admitted that they’re still in the early stages of getting to know one another, but he’s looking forward to working with him and allowing him to push and motivate him.

He also agreed with Johnson, who said that he could line Odunze up in the slot or out wide because he had the skill set to play all over the offense.
Odunze had a rather modest first year in the league.
He finished the campaign with 54 receptions for 734 yards and three touchdowns, although he did average a decent 13.6 yards per reception.
He’s a physical specimen who can be a perennial mismatch against most defensive backs, and he’s shown that he can handle a big workload dating back to his days in college.
The Bears’ offensive schemes were outdated and inefficient last season, and that’s not going to be the case with Johnson at the helm.
Also, an improved offensive line will keep Caleb Williams out of harm’s way after being the most-sacked quarterback in the league last season, and that should also help Odunze.
